1,709 Pages of Old Lampung Manuscripts Digitised

DREMSEA, Lampung – Manuscripts from the Lampung area have not been widely exposed in philological studies. DREAMSEA is very fortunate to have the opportunity to save 1,709 ancient Lampung manuscript pages from four different collections. This mission was carried out on March 18-24, 2022 in the areas of East Lampung and Bandar Lampung of the Lampung Province of Indonesia. 87 manuscripts were successfully digitised from the collections of four different owners, namely Mohamad Zakwan, Ahmad Amin, Arief Sofyan, and Buya. Islamic Palm-leaf Manuscripts in Praya, Lombok Preserved

DREAMSEA, Praya – The DREAMSEA manuscript digitisation program has succeeded in preserving 18 manuscripts and producing 1,859 digital images of manuscript pages in the city of Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusatenggara Province, Indonesia. This mission has been carried out from March 4 -11, 2022. The manuscript comes from a collection owned by H. Najamudin. A New Collection, 15,000 Manuscript Pages by Pangeran Madrais Kuningan Digitised

DREAMSEA, Kuningan – From 15 October until 13 November 2021, more manuscripts of the collection of Pangeran Madrais in Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal in Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia were digitised by DREAMSEA. This was the second stage in the preservation efforts to safe the manuscripts in Paseban as they are threatened of becoming damaged. DREAMSEA Launches the Database of Southeast Asian Digitised Manuscripts

Jakarta, DREAMSEA — After having assisted local society to digitize manuscripts in Southeast Asia for four years, DREAMSEA has launched its repository database on Friday, 1 October 2021. The launching was done via YouTube under the title “DREAMSEA Launch Southeast Asian Manuscripts Database”.  From 2018 until 2021, DREAMSEA has executed 29 digitizing missions in various places in Southeast Asia. DREAMSEA Preserves Numinous Manuscripts in Karawang

Karawang. DREAMSEA. The Digital Repository of Endangered and Affected Manuscripts in Southeast Asia (DREAMSEA) has returned to safe manuscripts in private collections in Indonesia. From 23 to 26 April 2021, 900 pages of numinous manuscripts from a number of regions in Karawang Regency in West Java have been digitized. The manuscripts come from five locations of which three form legacies now preserved by the gate keepers at the holy graves of Syekh Abidin Ciranggon, Mbah Ribiah Cikampek Pusaka and Kampung Gempol Bojong. Digitisation of Islamic Manuscripts in a Pesantren in East Java

Digitisation of Manuscripts from Cirebon Using a Health Protocol to Avoid Covid-19 Infection

Dreamsea.co – DREAMSEA has resumed the digitisation of manuscripts from Cirebon after having halted the activity in early March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to finish the digitisation of these manuscripts, the activity was resumed on 6 and 7 July by strictly following a health protocol. Thousands Southeast Asian Digital Manuscripts Now Available Online

Jakarta, DREAMSEA – At present, digitised pages of manuscripts from a variety of Southeast Asian cultures have been made available online. The public can read these digital manuscripts on the Open Access website https://dreamsea.co after clicking on REPOSITORY menu. The digitised manuscripts and the Open Access website have been made available by the program Digital Repository of Endangered and Affected Manuscripts in Southeast Asia (DREAMSEA).
