Overview

This collection of manuscripts comprises primarily Islamic texts, such as commentaries on hadith, interpretations of the Qur'an, Sufi literature, Islamic jurisprudence, prayer, theology, Arabic grammar, and mystical works. Among the notable texts in the collection are Durrat al-ahkam and Utur al-miskiyah by Sultan Aidrus, and Insan Kamil by Al-Jilli.

The manuscripts are written in a variety of languages, including Malay, Arabic, and Wulio. Most of the texts in this collection are written on paper, including European paper and other types of paper, using scripts such as Jawi, Arabic, Pegon, and Buri Wulio. Some of the manuscripts contain illustrations and illuminations.
